INTENDED USE
The geneMAP™ MGMT Methylation Analysis Kit is a methylation-specific Realtime PCR (MSP) test designed to detect and quan- tification O (6) -methylguanine-DNA methyltransferase (MGMT) promoter hypermethylation status in genomic DNA of glioblas- toma multiform (GBM) tumors. MGMT promoter methylation has been shown to lead to increased sensitivity to alkylating agents such as temozolomide and to have a favorable prognostic significance.
