INTENDED USE
Approximately 95% of Polycythemia Vera patients are positive for JAK2 mutation (exon 14) and only 5% are positive for JAK2 exon 12 mutation. JAK2 and other mutation screening tests are often ordered if the clinical findings support PV or other myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN).
