INTENDED USE
ROS1 is a receptor tyrosine kinase belonging to the insulin receptor family. ROS1 fusion genes are classified as a unique set of molecular signatures in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Fusion partners of the gene include CD74, SLC34A2, GOPC (FIG), and CCDC6. These fusion genes contribute to carcinogenesis through their kinase activity. The presence of ROS1 fusion genes has been reported to be associated with the efficacy of TKI treatment.
The ADPS™ ROS1 Gene Isoform Detection Kit is a one-step RT-qPCR test for the detection of 12 types of ROS1 fusion genes in RNA extracted from paraffin-embedded or fresh/frozen tissue biopsies or liquid biopsies from NSCLC patients.
